Glossy Talk: Kellie Hush for Grazia

ACP Magazines is consolidating its editorial appointments with news that Kellie Hush, former fashion editor for The Sydney Morning Herald, is taking the top editorial job at Grazia, replacing Alison Veness-McGourty.

Hush is the latest in a line of newspaper people – including Edwina McCann, editor of Harper's BAZAAR and former fashion editor for The Australian – to join the company.

But Hush is familiar with glossy publishing: she got her start working across the then Time Inc owned InStyle and Who (where she was executive editor) before joining Harper's BAZAAR as deputy editor, working under Veness-McGourty, until 2006.

As the author of My Body After Baby, and mother of two children, with a career spanning fashion and features, Hush is an ideal fit for the weekly fashion title, which mixes women's issues with news on shoes.

Grazia is currently selling 55,026 copies a week after taking a 17.6% circulation dip in the September audit, giving Hush some ground to make up.

Hush told mUmBRELLA, "Editing Grazia is a dream come true. I’m really looking forward to starting the new role and making the magazine even more of a success in the Australian market."
